The Wild Card – Self-reflection – Tortoise and Hare

Posted on Updated on

1.  Q: What was the most interesting aspect of this writing project for you?
Answer:  The most interesting aspect was transitioning the story between 28 years ago to the current dialogue between me and my daughter. Also, finding out Aunt Bee is spelled like a bee rather than Aunt Bea just threw me for a loop. I’m so disillusioned!

2. Q: What was the most challenging/difficult part of this project?
Answer:  The most challenging part was reading the homework assignment. The second most challenging thing was submitting the incorrect composition without having an aneurysm.

3. Q: What would you change or do differently?
Answer:  I would have explored whether or not my daughter felt she could do something as I had, but at her current age (10). No, maybe actually reading the homework assignment would have been a better idea. Shoot, I’ll be honest. I would’ve just had more coffee and naps.

I’m with you Deb. Get a great idea about your assignment, run with it, THEN take a look at the instructions. At least this way we get to do twice the work for the same credit!
Oh, and don’t EVEN get me started about coffee and naps! That dilemma Confronts me daily! Usually I make the decision based on whether I can find a place to nap where no one will see me and notice the drool running down my chin 😉

Great post. I’m gonna miss reading your humorous commentaries!
